Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Pride will be featured in Food Network’s reality series “Ace of Cakes” at 10 p.m. ET/PT Sept. 17. The Pride is the model for a two-foot-long cake. The episode features Chef Duff Goldman presenting the cake to Capt. Alessandro Galotto, master of Carnival Pride. The Carnival Pride operates cruises year-round from Baltimore, Md., also home to Goldman’s Charm City Cakes bakery, where Duff and his staff use drills, saws and blowtorches as they bake, construct and frost elaborate cakes. The 2,124-passenger Carnival Pride offers seven-day cruises to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida.
